RBF Promotes Barbara Eljenholm & Trinka Burdick to the Position of Senior Vice President

The Executive Committee of RBF Consulting (RBF) recently announced the appointment of Trinka Burdick, Vice President of Human Resources and Barbara Eljenholm, Vice President of Corporate Affairs, to the position of Senior Vice President.

Trinka Burdick has over 27 years of experience in the field of Human Resources focusing on organizational development, employment policy and law, compensation analysis, employee relations and retention, recruitment and corporate compliance. She also has extensive experience in development and implementation of performance evaluation and professional development planning and coaching programs.

Barbara Eljenholm is currently responsible for the Corporate Affairs elements of RBF Consulting. She focuses upon educational programs, employee recognition and teambuilding programs, as well as corporate communications, public relations, company functions, events, corporate committee facilitation, and corporate management. She also serves on RBF's Corporate Management Committee.

Leviton Web Site Sports New Look for 2007

New for the New Year, Leviton has unveiled a spanking new website that consolidates its comprehensive product and service offering under a single domain name located at www.leviton.com. The new leviton.com sports an exciting new presentation interface and navigation structure that lets users find the information they need quickly and easily. The site went live the first week in January to an audience of enthusiastic trade professionals and consumers. With the company's complete line of wiring device, lighting management systems, structured cabling and voice and data products and services domiciled at one URL, users will no longer need to navigate from one Leviton website to another to obtain product and services information.

The board of directors of the Home Depot is expected to meet with activist investor Ralph Whitworth, whose fund owns a 1.3% stake in the company. Whitworth is critical of the company’s diversification strategy, particularly its move into the wholesale distribution arena with its HD Supply division. Rather than branching out, Whitworth wants the Home Depot to sell HD Supply and concentrate on its core business by improving customer service and management performance in its retail business. The company has said it will continue to pursue the diversification strategy initiated by Nardelli under current CEO Frank Blake, reported Industrial Distribution. Full Story

Digital Door Lock (DDL) is an electronics locking system that operates by combination of key, security password or number codes which can provide more convenient, secure protection with higher reliability over the conventional locking systems, reported ZDNet Korea.
