Operating profits were up 34% at the security division, to $67.6 million, on revenue of $363.4 million, up 22%. The division, which makes doors, surveillance cameras and other products, benefited from the January acquisition of HSM Electronic Protection Services Inc., which contributed 5% of total sales. Security also benefited from strong sales of especially profitable products, including mechanical locks, and from price increases, said Gerry Gould, Stanley's vice president for investor relations.
