Continental's Highly Advanced Super-Two Is Now Available

Continental Access welcomes the introduction of its new Super-Two, an Intelligent Controller. This highly advanced expandable controller can support all access control functions for one or two doors. This distributed processor-based controller will operate as a standalone unit in the event that server communications are interrupted. Super-Two features 8 supervised inputs (expandable to 56) and 5 Form C rated 3A@24VDC/VAC standard outputs (expandable to 53). 20,000 cards are supported. Super-Two is programmed with Continental's Card Access® software, a Windows based access control, security management and video integration solution.

Continental Access Introduces An Advanced Accelerator Board for Super Family Of Controllers

Continental Access now offers a high-tech Accelerator Board to provide performance improvements to any SuperTerm or Turbo SuperTerm family of controllers. Improvements include faster downloads, larger cardholder capacity, faster processing performance, built-in TCP/IP communication and simple installation. Once attached to any SuperTerm or Turbo SuperTerm the Accelerator Board takes over all processing and memory duties from the original controller with a 32-bit microprocessor that executes 54MIPS (million instructions per second). It also includes an on-board LAN adapter for direct CAT-5 connection to a network with speeds in excess of 912Kbps.

Napco's StarLink Universal Backup Alarm Reporting On GSM/GPRS National Network

Napco's StarLink is now on the GSM/GPRS National Network which is universal and offers greater coverage for backup alarm reporting. StarLink's Backup Wireless Radios simply connects between any alarm control panel and its telephone connection. Whenever the traditional telephone line connection (telco) fails, StarLink (SL1) radio wirelessly connects directly and expeditiously to the GSM network to transmit the alarm signal to any central monitoring station (designated at installation). To ensure ongoing dependability, the SL1 automatically sends a daily test signal to the network operations center. Any failure to check-in is reported to the central station.

Alarm Lock's TrilogyExit Adds Audit Trail Convenience To Panic Exits

The TrilogyExit includes a rugged, weather-resistant 12-button metal keypad with a field-proven Trilogy digital lock and works with existing panic exit devices. Our clutch mechanism ensures long life and durability and allows 2000 user codes for master, manager, supervisor and users. A real time built-in clock works for up to 40,000 events and provides time/date stamped audit trail. Users may program up to 500 lock/unlock schedules with time zone support. A prox model is also available for added convenience and security and includes all the features stated above.

Alarm Lock's PG21MS Series Door Alarms Advanced & Multi-Purpose

The PG21MS Series offers advanced narrow stile microprocessor-controlled door alarms for surface mounting on a door or doorframe. The series work in two arming modes. Always Armed Mode causes the key to stay in place unless you turn the system back to arm, keeping the unit armed always. Standard Arming Mode allows the user to disarm the system and remove the key. Features include a continuous alarm or 2-minute shutdown with auto reset and exit/entry delay status indicator LED light. For entry, PG21MS has delay time options to include 15 seconds, 1 minute, 15 seconds and 3 minutes 15 seconds. Unauthorized use of the door causes the alarm to sound and the LED indicator to activate.

Marks USA Adds Flexibility to its "Survivor" Lever Locksets

Marks USA has enhanced the "Survivor" cylindrical locksets, enabling them to operate in a greater range of door conditions. Installation in older, poorly maintained doors or hollow metal doors with insufficient lock reinforcement can now be done without requiring sensitive adjustments. The lockset, which is self- adjusting within 1-5/8" to 1-7/8" door thickness, installs with just two #10 through bolts. Also available are models for doors up to 2-1/4" thickness, and spacer kits for doors of 1-3/8" thickness. The "Survivor" series is available in both the "American" and the more rounded "Crescent" style levers. Both feature the "Clutch" mechanism in ANSI grades one and two, and are available with either conventional or IC core cylinders. These quality engineered locksets are manufactured in the USA.

Ply Gem said it will create 100 jobs and invest $2.5 million in Wake County over the next four years.
