Chamberlain Group, Inc. Appoints David Mack General Manager

The Chamberlain Group, Inc. has appointed David Mack as general manager of its wholly owned subsidiary, PTI Integrated Systems of Scottsdale, AZ. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all company operations, as well as developing new strategies for future growth.

Mack, 39, most recently served as director of advanced development at Chamberlain where he was responsible for the company's new product initiatives and innovation process. Prior to joining Chamberlain, he held engineering and product management positions at System Sensor and Life Fitness, a division of Brunswick. Dave received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University and an MBA with distinction from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management with majors in Marketing, Strategy, and Finance.

The Chamberlain Group, Inc. Appoints Mark Karasek as Executive Vice President Engineering & Chief Technology Officer

The Chamberlain Group, Inc. has appointed Mark Karasek to the newly created position of Executive Vice President Engineering & Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In his new role, Karasek will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to drive technology and product development-related best practices for Chamberlain and parent company Duchossois Industries, Inc.

Karasek, 45, will concentrate his efforts toward maximizing Chamberlain’s strong and growing technology offerings such as networking, interoperability, biometrics, power management and low power consumption, ease of installation, and ergonomics.

Security Door Controls Introduces New Strike

One strike with all the features you need. The new SDC 45 series strike accommodates locksets with up to ¾" latchbolts. The heavy duty, all stainless steel design is loaded with features to ensure adaptability to virtually any access control application. New Multipoint Sliding Door Lock from Winkhaus

Winkhaus incorporated robust hook latches that are individually spring loaded, designed to automatically latch behind the strike plate. Both stainless steel hook latches engage in opposite directions to provide superior tamper-proof, lift-out security protection. The hook latches can be individually adjusted horizontally with a simple Allen wrench. The strike rail also offers easy vertical adjustment in the field. These adjustability features underline the company’s commitment to minimize or eliminate call backs caused by common installation issues.

This multipoint locking mechanism is intuitively activated by the handle – instead of ordinary locks that are operated by a small thumb-turn or flip lever – which provides easier operation than traditional sliding door locks with a fixed handle. In addition, a fail-safe device prevents unintentional locking and damage during operation. The STE Sliding Door Lock features the attractive flush mounted Eclipse Cylinder Winkhaus is famous for. The cylinder provides a 90° locking turn, so that a vertical thumb-turn position indicates the door is unlocked, while horizontal position indicates the door is visibly locked from across the room. The cylinder is conveniently re-keyable to the Schlage "C" keyway.
